March is Women’s History Month, but as Women’s Present Month, it’s been a little depressing: Congress is debating access to birth control, Rush Limbaugh is calling women sluts, and women still make up just a tiny fraction of writers for prestige magazines. But hey, at least we can vote! That’s a right that has been in place since the 19th amendment passed in 1920. All things considered, I’d much rather be a woman now than then. Here are 9 reasons why.
