Some people get freaked out by this word. They think meditation involves gurus in tunics talking about the importance of taking deep breathes from your diaphragm. While meditation does involve breathing, you can partake in it with or without the tunic-wearing guru.
Meditation has spiritual roots, and means different things to different people. It’s a mental discipline about overcoming internal disturbances by training yourself to shift your mind away from a state of unrest. And for many, it works.
