You’re not alone. We Americans are a stressed out bunch. According to the recent “Stress in America: Missing the Health Care Connection” study by the American Psychological Association, it turns out Millennials take the cake for their stress levels.
That’s right, we just got the APA’s stamp of approval for explaining how stressed out we are to our loved ones. In fact, on a 10-point scale, American adults ages 18 to 33 reported an average stress level of 5.4 out of 10 compared to the nation’s 4.9. These Millennials also states their stress made it hard for them to sleep at night in the past month.
Forty percent of Millennials reported their stress levels rising in the past year. Strangely, 49 percent of Millennials reported they don’t believe or are not sure they’re doing enough to manage their stress. These numbers seem to indicate their age groups trouble with managing their stress and getting health care to adequately meet their needs.
