With Sarah Palin Snipe, Matt Lauer Proves To Be A Horrible Co-Worker

No matter what your political leanings are, I think we can all agree that Sarah Palin has proven that she has a place in the entertainment industry. With her book tours, social media presence and yes, television appearances, Palin has cemented herself as a pop culture icon and talking head staple.

While the former-governor might not entice me to turn on The Today Show this week, it’s not like NBC was completely off-the-wall when they decided to bring in the Original Rogue to co-anchor the morning show. I respect this woman’s career as a political commentator and a television personality, even if I don’t agree with her politics. At all. Like not even a little.

If someone who vehemently disagree with this woman can be accepting of Palin on The Today Show, you would expect that her co-workers over at NBC could at least be civil with her, right? I guess that would make you just as naive as me. More »

Anyone else coming up with a business where your boss can hit you in the head? Oh that’s right, the set of an ABC prime-time sitcom. More »

When Veronica Alexandra went to bed on Saturday night, she had no idea that Beyoncé was about to change her life. The founder of the Boston-based event planning firm Blue Ivy got a text message late that night informing her of what the whole world now knows: Beyoncé and Jay-Z had welcomed a baby daughter — and named her Blue Ivy. Since then, Alexandra has been fielding calls from gossip writers and contemplating what’s next for her career. She spoke with me about why she chose the name for her company, what else she has in common with Beyoncé, and why she’s hoping to hear from the singer soon.

What’s So Wrong With Female Comedians Posing In Their Underwear?

Whatâs So Wrong With Female Comedians Posing In Their Underwear?

There’s been a bit of online fervor these past few days about SNL cast member Abby Elliot‘s sexy Maxim spread. In it, we see Elliot looking plucky and adorable (and only occasionally blank faced) as she frolics about in only her underwear. According to HuffPo’s Carol Hartsell, female comedians shouldn’t do this because it undermines “the struggle to let a woman’s work, not her workout, be her selling point.” More »
