Microsoft Makes Two Women Share One Male Executive's Job

Yesterday, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer abruptly announced that Windows head Steven Sinofsky had left the company. Sinofsky led the company’s flagship project, the Windows operating system, and his departure was a surprise to outsiders. Ballmer quickly announced that two women will be replacing Sinofsky. Julie Larson-Green will head up all Windows software and hardware engineering, and CFO and CMO Tami Reller will take on managing the Windows business.
